We are proud to announce our Cat-Back exhaust for the 2008-2011 Subaru STi Hatchback/5 Door. Our goal with this project was to develop a reasonably priced, manufacturable high flowing, low-drone design when combined with our 3″ mandrel bent divorced downpipe (Due for release soon).
The result was a 3″ into dual 2.25″ axleback featuring quad double wall staggered tips, all stainless TIG welded construction that is Handbuilt to Order in America. Utilizing a straight through flowing muffler with internal perforated y-pipe and well designed dogleg y’s on each exhaust tip for a flush and tucked fit in the rear bumper valence cutouts without risking overheating or melting the valence. This design also has the benefit of perfectly even flow from the right to left as well as out of each of the four tips. No biased flow here like you may find on muffler designs that use a baffled internal resonance chamber.
The Midpipe is a free-flowing straight-through 3″ mandrel bent system that utilizes one 18″ resonator to smooth out any rasp. Our design uses a v-band connection in the rear to allow the user to fine-tune the fitment of the exhaust. The MidPipe also uses a flex coupling near the AxleBack connection flange to eliminate exhaust “wag” found in other exhausts.
The CatBack system includes all required hardware, a 3” aluminum gasket with a raised sealing ring to provide a positive seal at the AxleBack joint, and a 3” donut gasket similar to the factory gasket. We use a factory style donut gasket due to the superior sealing ability of this style of gasket.
Here are some videos on our blog: GR Hatch AxleBack Exhaust Video
Powdercoat options only include the Axleback portion of the catback system due to the extreme heat the Midpipe experiences.
Tip options include:
Double Wall Staggered
Double Wall Non-Staggered
Single Wall Non-Staggered

If you take your car to the track or any organized racing, you will want to pick up a few urethane exhaust hanger bushings. The system uses 5 hangers, so if you want to upgrade all of them, choose the 5 hanger option.

Took about an hour to install because the nuts were a little rusted on my stock system. I have the resonator with muffler delete combo and the sound is wonderful. At idle its barely noticeable and cruising around at 65 its slightly louder than stock. You can have your volume set on your stock stereo around 10 and its not drowned out by the exhaust note. I was shocked at the growl this car makes when you get on it. This was a big upgrade and Nameless will have my business again when I decide to get a downpipe.

Didn't get and exhaust system, got a work of art in a box! The welds are perfect, the finish is perfect, the fitment is perfect, the sound is low and has some nice base in it. My only suggestion would be to make long spring bolts for the connection at the midpipe, the factory ones won't fit the new, bigger pipe. It comes with long bolts that do fit, I just feel that if the factory feels they need spring bolts there for flexibility, maybe you should follow suit. Dont get me wrong, it fits perfectly. Just my two cents.

exhaust fit nice, tips line up great. sounds very good with no droan in the vehicle (resonated mid pipe, no mufflers) installed in less then 10 mins on my lift. pretty loud even with cats. i like it a lot. worth the wait. my only gripe is response time to questions was much faster when i was interested in buying, and after paying there wasnt much communication effort. i realize there are lots of pain in the ass customers out there, as i am in the same industry, but we still make a big effort to answer all questions. other then that, product was immaculate, with no issues, and very nice quality.

Amazing product. I have had my cat back for about a month and the sound is just amazing. Great start up sound and the build up is marvelous but it does not scream at you at high speed. Also it has a really good no drone balance on the highway so you can talk like normal without having to yell. Dont get me wrong it is definitely louder than stock which is way too quiet for my taste but not obnoxious. A++ would catback again.
