Axleback Exhaust - 2015-2017 Legacy 3.6R - Dual Chamber

The perfect exhaust note for your Legacy 3.6R without the cabin drone associated with CVT transmissions!

Designed for the 2015-2017 Legacy 3.6R, this no drone exhaust is a direct factory fit to the OEM midpipe at the Y. This version features our standard 5" sport mufflers with an extra secondary chamber helmholtz resonator set to cancel cabin drone at freeway cruise and during extended scenarios where the car is under load.

Factory fit laser cut flanges and 2″ dual piping has equivalent cross sectional area of a 2.85″ straight pipe, providing excellent breathing characteristics for high end horsepower as well as retaining low end torque.

Fits 2015-2017 Legacy 3.6R Sedan, and includes a new hardware kit for installation. Requires unbolting the two factory trim rings (2 bolts) to fit the upgraded exhausts and polished tips.

Muffler Options:

• Muffler Delete: The loudest option. Removes the mufflers entirely. Has a full range of tone featuring highs, mids, lows. On its own, the muffler delete with a stock midpipe and downpipe is similar to most catback exhausts in terms of sound level.
• 5" Mufflers: Perfect for those looking for a subtle upgrade. The mufflers cancel more of the highs and midrange tones leaving a deep tone that is quieter than most catback exhausts on the market at cruise and idle, but still has a nice bark at wide open throttle.
• Dual Chamber With 5" Muffler (this product): An exhaust that was quiet when you want quiet yet aggressive when you want aggressive. This system offers the same crisp exhaust notes that our 5" muffled systems on the outside of the vehicle, while reducing cabin noise in the low RPM ranges. literally the best of both worlds - ultra mild at cruise, and an appropriate growl inside and outside when you feel like doing some "spirited driving".

Exhaust Hanger Bushings

Upgrading to our long lasting Nameless Performance urethane exhaust bushings from the factory rubber bushings is highly recommended. The softer rubber factory bushings are overly flexible and if you race your car or spend time at an incline off-road, the exhaust can "wag" left to right which sometimes causes noise or the tips to touch the rear bumper. When this happens there is a chance your bumper can be damaged or if you have a hitch or any other accessories can cause annoying sounds. The best way to avoid this is to use our urethane exhaust bushings to hold the exhaust in place. These upgraded bushings are not necessary to install our exhaust systems but for the small cost of upgraded units, it is an excellent idea!

• Add 1 Bushing to your cart: Upgrade the one bushing on the midpipe portion of the exhaust.
• Add 4 Bushings to your cart: Upgrade all 4 rubber bushings on the axleback portion of the exhaust.
• Add 5 Bushings to your cart: Upgrade all 5 of the factory rubber bushings from the midpipe back.
