 Product Description

Designed for the VA Chassis (2015-2018) Subaru WRX and STi Sedans, the Nameless Performance AxleBack Exhaust is a direct factory fit to the OEM midpipe at the Y. Removing the two factory 13.5lb restrictive baffled mufflers in lieu of a pair of mandrel bent, TIG welded, T304 stainless steel pipes and configurable tailpipe tip style, this system is easily configurable to your desired look and sound level.

Factory fit laser cut flanges and 2″ dual piping has equivalent flow characteristics of a 3" single straight pipe, providing excellent breathing characteristics for high end horsepower and generating an increase in low end torque (roughly 10hp/11ft lb at the wheels for this and the other muffled axleback options we offer).

Fits 2015-2018 WRX & STi Sedans with OEM or OEM fitment (Nameless Performance) midpipe, not compatible with the STI (SPT) dealer installed midpipe.

Each axleback comes with a full hardware kit for installation.

Configuration Options:

Mufflers:

  • Muffler Delete: The loudest option. Removes the mufflers entirely. This is a 10 on a scale where stock = 0
  • 4" Mufflers: Similar to the deletes, but with the edge taken off. This is a 7 on a scale where stock = 0
  • 5" Mufflers: Our most quiet option. Perfect for those looking for a subtle upgrade. This is a 5 on a scale where stock = 0

Tips:

  • 3" Quad Staggered Double Wall: These are T304 stainless, double wall polished tips that fit perfectly into the cutout in the rear valence of the vehicle. 10 Degree Angle Cut with staggered arrangement (inboard tips stick out 1/2" further than outboard tips). 3″ diameter per tip, very close to an OEM look
  • 3" Neochrome Quad Staggered Double Wall: These blue flame/burnt tips fit perfectly into the cutout in the rear valence of the vehicle. 3" tip with a 10 Degree Angle Cut with staggered arrangement (inboard tips stick out 1/2″ further than outboard tips). These tips are only available with the Muffler Delete.
  • 3.5" Quad Staggered Single Wall: Single Wall Quad Tips in 3.5" diameter w/ 20 degree angle cut with a 1/2" staggered arrangement.
  • 3.5" Quad Non-Staggered Single Wall: Same as above but non-staggered.
  • 4" Quad Staggered Double Wall: Double wall 4" diameter quad tips, 1/2" staggered arrangement, 10 degree slash cut.
  • 3.5" Quad Staggered Double Wall: Double Wall 3.5" diameter quad tips, 1/2" staggered arrangement, straight cut, brushed finish.

Urethane Exhaust Hanger Bushings

Our urethane bushings hold your exhaust in place better that the factory rubber bushings and are highly recommended if you race your car or enjoy spirited driving. During hard cornering the exhaust "wags" left to right which sometimes causes the tips to touch the bumper. When this happens there is a chance your bumper can be damaged. The best way to avoid this is to use our urethane exhaust bushings to hold the exhaust in place.

  • 2 Bushings: Replace the two bushings at the rear of the car closest to the bumper. Recommend for those who either drive hard on the street or race occasionally at the track.

  • 4 Bushings: Replace all 4 rubber bushings on the axleback portion of the exhaust. Recommended for people who race their cars often.

  • 5 Bushings: Replace all 5 of the factory rubber bushings from the midpipe back. Recommended for those who are hard core autocrossers or circuit racers.

    If you want a tuned sound coming from a stock car the deletes are perfect! Pops and crackles on downshifts but also makes explosive gunfire noises on quick accelerations.. it will surprise people

    bought my 16 sti brand new. always knew I wanted to upgrade the exhaust. waited a while and was up in the air about it. didn't want to seem like a 19yr. old racer with a fart can for an exhaust. after listening to countless videos I was between the muffler deletes and the 4inch mufflers. called nameless and Tyler broke down the exhaust profiles . so glad I went with the 4inch mufflers. at 36 loud is good, but too loud is no good. deep rumble to say the least. and the tips fill the rear defuser perfectly. couldn't be happier. thanks nameless! 6 stars is more appropriate

    It took a long time for me to decide on an axleback. I kept going back and forth between the 4" and the muffler delete. I ended up going with the 4" muffler with 4" double wall tips. They sound amazing! It's expensive but the quality is excellent. It also arrived at my door a week after purchase!

    *ORDER & SHIPPING*
    In mid-July, I ordered the 4 inches resonators with the 4 inches staggered double walls tips. I was aware that the lead times were considerable and that I wouldn't have them until 5 weeks or +. Fast forward late August, I finally received my precious parcel.
    *INSTALLATION*
    I did the install by myself without jacks or stands, simply using the natural end of the slope of my driveway.*** I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU ARE EQUIPPED ACCORDINGLY (LIKE RENTING A CAR JACK)***, because you will most likely be frustrated by the lack of angles you will be using your two 14mm wrenches. It is still possible to do so without a lift but it'll most likely take twice as long as it normally should. Removing the bushings with either WD-40 or dishsoap water will work wonder.

    *PRODUCT REVIEW*
    The first hundred mile will be quite loud, but over time it'll mellow down by at least 10-15%. The exhaust note that comes on when you first try it will make you grin like a maniac. If you enjoyed driving your WRX, you will now LOVE it with passion. I am now finding myself excuses to run errands and letting it rip up on the highway on-ramp. You will experience crackles and pops on aggressive accelerations, and you're going to be highly rewarded on your revmatch downshifts. As per the 4inch muffler and 4 inch tips, the size is perfect as OEM exhausts are too little for the valance of your bumper. I am glad that went with the 4" resonators because I personally find that it is just loud enough. Nameless has earned a new faithful customer !

    So glad I bought this. Installation took around an hour once I had the car on ramps. I love the look of the 4inch tips, it fills up the exhaust well nicely. The alignment is great and I didn't have to do any adjusting. As for the sound... AMAZING (my car is stock except for this). Hard shifts between 1-2 and 2-3 let out loud very audible cracks and pops on a stock tune. Downshifts from 4-3 and 3-2 above 3k rpm will also crackle. It is for sure loud, but it's also very quiet when you want it to be based on if you drive aggressive or not. Beautiful shine if you keep them clean and polished. Thank you Nameless, I will stick to you for exhaust mods in the future!

    Got the 4" mufflers and 3" tips. Very nicely made, looks great, can see why they are more expensive than other options. Makes the wrx sound much better, now it actually sounds like a performance car. Way more engaging to drive. Volume level is perfect, just a nice subtle tone when cruising, and it shouts when you stomp on it. Overall very happy. Expensive with my exchange rate though.
