 Product Description

Designed for the VA Chassis (2015+) Subaru WRX and STi Sedans, the Nameless Performance AxleBack Exhaust is a direct factory fit to the OEM midpipe at the Y. Removing the two factory 13.5lb restrictive baffled mufflers in lieu of a pair of mandrel bent, TIG welded, T304 stainless steel pipes and configurable tailpipe tip style, this system is easily configurable to your desired look and sound level.

Factory fit laser cut flanges and 2″ dual piping has equivalent flow characteristics of a 3" single straight pipe, providing excellent breathing characteristics for high end horsepower and generating an increase in low end torque (roughly 10hp/11ft lb at the wheels for this and the other muffled axleback options we offer).

Fits 2015 WRX & STi Sedans with OEM or OEM fitment (Nameless Performance) midpipe, not compatible with the STI (SPT) dealer installed midpipe.

Each axleback comes with a full hardware kit for installation.

Configuration Options:

Mufflers:

  • Muffler Delete: The loudest option. Removes the mufflers entirely. This is a 10 on a scale where stock = 0
  • 4" Mufflers: Similar to the deletes, but with the edge taken off. This is a 7 on a scale where stock = 0
  • 5" Mufflers: Our most quiet option. Perfect for those looking for a subtle upgrade. This is a 5 on a scale where stock = 0

Tips:

  • 3" Quad Staggered Double Wall: These are T304 stainless, double wall polished tips that fit perfectly into the cutout in the rear valence of the vehicle. 10 Degree Angle Cut with staggered arrangement (inboard tips stick out 1/2" further than outboard tips). 3″ diameter per tip, very close to an OEM look
  • 3" Neochrome Quad Staggered Double Wall: These blue flame/burnt tips fit perfectly into the cutout in the rear valence of the vehicle. 3" tip with a 10 Degree Angle Cut with staggered arrangement (inboard tips stick out 1/2″ further than outboard tips). These tips are only available with the Muffler Delete.
  • 3.5" Quad Staggered Single Wall: Single Wall Quad Tips in 3.5" diameter w/ 20 degree angle cut with a 1/2" staggered arrangement.
  • 3.5" Quad Non-Staggered Single Wall: Same as above but non-staggered.
  • 4" Quad Staggered Double Wall: Double wall 4" diameter quad tips, 1/2" staggered arrangement, 10 degree slash cut.
  • 3.5" Quad Staggered Double Wall: Double Wall 3.5" diameter quad tips, 1/2" staggered arrangement, straight cut, brushed finish.

Urethane Exhaust Hanger Bushings

Our urethane bushings hold your exhaust in place better that the factory rubber bushings and are highly recommended if you race your car or enjoy spirited driving. During hard cornering the exhaust "wags" left to right which sometimes causes the tips to touch the bumper. When this happens there is a chance your bumper can be damaged. The best way to avoid this is to use our urethane exhaust bushings to hold the exhaust in place.

  • 2 Bushings: Replace the two bushings at the rear of the car closest to the bumper. Recommend for those who either drive hard on the street or race occasionally at the track.

  • 4 Bushings: Replace all 4 rubber bushings on the axleback portion of the exhaust. Recommended for people who race their cars often.

  • 5 Bushings: Replace all 5 of the factory rubber bushings from the midpipe back. Recommended for those who are hard core autocrossers or circuit racers.

    After purchasing and installing about 4 exhaust systems (from turbo-backs to axle-backs) I can confidently say that Nameless has delivered an OUTSTANDING product. The car is SILENT when idleing and truly roars and pops when you really step on it. The stainless is flawless and installation took me about 30 minutes. This is the perfect mod for anyone looking for a great product at a great price; all while keeping the new whip under warranty ;)

    I have had this installed for about a month now and have no complaints on the product (purchased an axle-back with 3.5 inch tips and 4inch resonators)

    Bought the 4" muffler delete and could not be any happier loud when at wot. Cold starts are pretty loud. But when warmed up at idle it runs a low tone bass rumble. Barely any drone compared to the stock exhaust. It looks amazing with the 4" tips fills out the wells very nicely. Get compliments on sound and look very often and haven't ran into trouble with neighbours or cops... for the exhaust lol. Definitely will be buying more products from nameless. Especially after how amazing their service was.

    Gives the car some sound but not to obnoxious. How it should have came from factory. Occasional crack/pop when downshifting that sounds awesome. Super easy to install. I recommend getting the hangers as well.

    I am very impressed and satisfied with these muffler deletes. After doing my homework and reading tons of reviews, I decided to go with the muffler delete option with the 3" quad staggered double wall tips. Be mindful if you are reading this, the 3" option looks small on the site - 3" tips are still a good size.

    Here is what I like most about the product and why I chose to pick them up:

    -Weight loss benefit/appearance
    -Audible difference from stock muffs
    -Quality in manufacturing

    I have heard that these deletes come with some kind of performance gain but I haven't read into it and have not dyno'd my car. I wouldn't expect any kind of significant gains this far back in the exhaust system.

    I am using the COBB Access Port (AP) with a regular old 91 octane stage 1 map with no additional mods and these deletes added some icing to the cake, they really sound great.

    There is a lot more audible turbo feedback after installing these. There's a more pronounced turbo "whistle" if you will.....just like the ten thousand YouTube videos you have likely been watching.

    The only thing that I would have liked to see in the box were the installation instructions. I had to find them on the Nameless site and mainly just wanted to have them to refer to as a checklist. There ARE factory ring style gaskets that must be removed before these deletes are installed. After watching tons of YouTube videos, it became apparent that a lot of people weren't realizing this step and are probably cruising around with the stock ring gaskets and the new Nameless gaskets installed. This can cause all kinds of leaks....make sure you remove the factory muffler ring gaskets.

    On the installation note, it was a breeze (about 30 minutes total). I read a lot of reviews where people were having issues with the hangers and removing the stock mufflers. I simply used a bottle of warm water and dish soap and sprayed all four hangers and then manipulated the mufflers to remove them. Remember that the hangers pivot on the chassis mounts so think of the muffs as a puzzle piece - easy day.

    Another thing I chose to do after I removed the stock muffs was spraying out and hand-wiping the cowling where the stock muffs used to be. A lot of road debris and salt can hangout in there so it didn't seem to hurt to clean it out while I was at it.

    If you are looking for an upgrade to the rather conservative sound of the 2015 + WRX, you will not regret picking up a pair of these.

    I had been looking at these for a year and a half. I watched every video I could. I finally bout the 4" mufflers, 3.5" double walled axleback. It sounds more amazing in real life than any video can show you. It's quiet when putting around and sounds like a beast when you stomp on the gas. Stop watching YouTube video after YouTube video and do yourself a favor, BUY IT!


  8. 4" mufflers - Perfect choice

    As a professional, I don't want to be obnoxious driving to and from the office. The 4" mufflers and the standard 3" double walled tips are absolutely perfect. The install was about 15 minutes (no jack needed). The tone and volume are perfect.
    The stock tips are 3" so these look very close to stock, which is appreciated. Also noteable; the welds are a gorgeous.
