Description
Now Available! Nameless Performance WRX Charge Pipe assembly for 2015+ WRX and 2014+ Forester XT. Designed to replace the restrictive factory rotomolded plastic charge pipe assembly while retaining the factory bypass valve location making for a perfect factory fit. Our design provides a stepped 2" into 2.5" tubing circuit for improved flow and improved power potential. Through our extensive testing, we used basic data log scatter plots to monitor a variety of variables while iterating between a number of different tubing designs and expansion locations. The result without any tuning change is a vehicle that makes equal power with slightly less overall boost. Quick tune of the boost tables to hit the peak boost numbers we had prior to the addition of the charge pipe, and we picked up an additional 18ft lb. of torque and 9WHP above our previous Stage 2 Pro-Tune from Cobb Tuning. Wow!
Our design features a CNC machined aluminum turbo outlet flange, black anodized and laser engraved, as well a proprietary silicone coupler based on a 6axis digitizing arm scan of the factory charge pipe inlet for a perfect fit to the factory or any factory fit aftermarket bypass valve or blow off valve. The tubing is brushed T304 stainless steel featuring beaded ends. All couplers are clamped with German made low profile NORMA TORRO clamps that feature both hex and flathead drive and feature high tensile strength, offset housing to prevent rotation during tightening and smooth inside bore for optimal coupler protection. New hardware is included for attachment of billet compressor outlet flange. Flange utilizes factory tabbed O-ring.
See the Video Below for more details!
Fits 2015+ WRX with FA20DIT engine. Due to improved rigidity and resilience of the upgraded design, the factory bracket that attaches to the plastic intake manifold has been omitted. Call or Email for Forester FXT Charge pipe Fitment before placing an order.

The most important feature of a recirculating bypass valve (Recirculation Valve, BPV, BOV) on your Subaru is to evacuate the pressure out of the charge circuit when the throttle is closed. This prevents a surge of boost from hitting the throttle and then reflecting back toward the compressor wheel where it can slow or even stop the movement of the compressor wheel and corresponding turbine wheel. Ideally, the function of a bypass valve is to open this circuit and dump that pressure and drag on the turbocharger compressor wheel out to the unpressurized intake downstream of the Mass Airflow Sensor. This ensures that the vehicle still has the air accounted for to avoid after fire and extreme rich running conditions on transition from one gear to the next. The faster the valve can open and the more the valve can flow, the better it is at evacuating that drag on the turbocharger. Unfortunately, with most diaphragm based designs, that comes at a trade off. You either have a valve that acts slowly (opening too slow resulting in some really interesting sounds as it opens) or a valve that can open quickly but has a small cross-sectional area of flow in order to allow it to act quickly but to hold boost when you want it to remain closed. Unfortunately the factory is a perfect example of the latter valve. It opens reasonably quickly, but the valve itself is the size of the head of a 16 penny nail, measuring roughly 5/16" across. That's right, it's just a hair over 1/4" in diameter.
The Nameless Performance FA20DIT Wave Spring Bypass Valve ensures that your charge circuit purges quickly, without restriction, and holds boost better than even the factory restrictive valve.
We have run these successfully with and without tuning, but the behavior of the valve is identical to factory, so the only need for a re-tune is if you've got the vehicle tuned with an already leaking valve and are replacing it with one that does not leak.
