Description
I mean, who are we kidding, if you're an executive driving a Impreza, you probably do things the way you want to one way or another. But the fact is that many of us need a little more refined exhaust note during our day to day activities. That shouldn't mean that we are stuck with the factory exhaust with its lack of tone and abject silence. This is the exhaust for you, offering double the muffler size of our standard muffled axleback exhaust, this system cuts cold start volume, as well as reducing the overall sound level across the powerband. And what's better yet, it's now available in our single exit configuration featuring a double wall hand TIG welded stainless exhaust tip, featuring clearance for the market leading trailer hitches, while also having an upgraded mounting solution with an included three hole exhaust hanger bushing to keep the tailpipe in place during hard cornering or off road adventures.
There are certainly a multitude of other applications for this larger muffling option: Perhaps you're someone who has a lifted overland vehicle with our non-resonated, high clearance midpipe and you'd like to offset the sound increase that comes along with removing the resonator from the midpipe. Perhaps you've upgraded your factory exhaust manifold and it just took the sound level too far over the top for your liking and you're in need of a little more heavy lifting capability to keep those sound levels down at wide open throttle. Whatever your reason, this quieter solution to exhaust on the Crosstrek fills a gap in the market for a high quality, hand TIG welded stainless exhaust system that will hit the goals you have for a sophisticated improvement over your current exhaust note.
Removing the large, heavy and restrictive factory equipped baffled mufflers in favor of one of our T304 stainless steel exhaust systems is not only great sounding, but also gives you more clearance.
Featuring factory fit laser cut flanges and 2.25" piping that provides excellent breathing characteristics for high end horsepower and torque while retaining the appropriate frequency to reduce in-cabin drone and keeping excellent sound outside the car.
Fits 2017+ Impreza Wagon with OEM or upgraded Nameless Performance midpipe. Will not fit the older models of the Impreza.
Each axle back exhaust system comes with a full hardware kit and gasket for a simple and clean installation.
FYI Our system will work with most but NOT every Tow Hitch on the market. Please, do your research on potential hitch clearance issues before you buy! Updates to the design have been made to accommodate a number of common hitch brands, but please reach out to us if you have any specific questions about your hitch.
Recommended Add-Ons:
Upgrading to our long lasting Nameless Performance urethane exhaust bushings over that the factory rubber bushings is highly recommended. The softer rubber factory bushings have too much flex and if you race your car or enjoy spirited driving the exhaust "wags" left to right which sometimes causes noise or the tips to touch the rear bumper on Crosstrek and Impreza applications. When this happens there is a chance your bumper can be damage or if you have a hitch or any other accessories can cause annoying sounds. The best way to avoid this is to use our urethane exhaust bushings to hold the exhaust in place. These upgraded bushings are not necessary to install our exhaust systems but for the small cost of upgraded units, it is an excellent idea! prevents common exhaust sag issues.
- 2 Bushings: Replace all both additional rubber bushings on the axleback portion of the exhaust.
- 3 Bushings: Replace all of the factory rubber bushings from the mid pipe back.
