This 3" Overpipe/Downpipe Combo replaces both the overpipe and the downpipe, thereby opening up the connection between the header and the catback exhaust. Ideal for high horsepower naturally aspirated and forced induction vehicles, the 3" diameter has netted the highest numbers on all of our forced induction and long tube header development vehicles. From a turbocharged perspective, the net gains on a 3" exhaust vs. the factory diameter are quite substantially, often netting upwards of 50ft lb of torque over factory exhaust diameters. For naturally aspirated vehicles running our long tube 4-2-1 Header and factory intake manifold, gains as high as 49ft lb at the wheels have been seen with the full 3" exhaust and tune.
Featuring mandrel bent T304 stainless TIG welded construction and gusseted hanger, this design is a must have for those enthusiasts wanting to get the most power out of their 2013-2017 BRZ / 86 / FR-S / GT-86. Utilizing an SCCA legal 200 Cell catalytic converter and a 3" straight through design resonator allows us to reuglate tone and keep it emissions friendly.
At the aft end of the overpipe/downpipe, a 3" donut gasket is used to connect the outlet to any 3" midpipe. We also now offer a reduced 2.5" outlet which meets with any OEM or OEM sized midpipe. We have seen great results using this part to get the power gains of the 3" pipe, with the compatibility and volume levels of a smaller diameter catback section, most common with our Autocross Program. The 2.5" outlet only affects the rear most circuit of the downpipe, reducing down to a stub flange exactly like the OEM and our full 2.5" offerings for the BRZ/FR-S.
This product is not compatible with the AT transmission or RHD cars.

I had been running a 2.5” catless over/front pipe on my 86, which worked fine with the stock header. After deciding to install a long tube cat-less header, I found I needed a 3” over pipe to stop leaks, and now needed to add a car to stay in class spec (SCCA STX). The install went quite smoothly, with just a minor bit of maneuvering to get the overpipe over the cross member (ended up loosening the motor mounts and raising the engine), everything bolted up perfectly, fit the tunnel perfectly, took all the rasp out of the note, and now it sounds, and pulls just like it should.
Highly recommended, and highly satisfied.

Bought the 3" with resonator on Black Friday. Shipping was super fast. Awesome quality and fitment. Replaced the aftermarket 2.5" op/fp I had. Sounds sweet, haven't gotten a dyno on it yet but I'm sure I can pull out a little more power on my RP400 turbo kit with it.
Only bad thing.. Much harder to get a 1 piece op/fp in than a two piece in your driveway. Lifted my engine up slightly and went in but much more difficult to rotate the big one piece than a separate overpipe.

I purchased the 3" resonated with helmholtz to compliment my 3" perrin exhaust. After install and updating my tune this clearly made a huge difference in gains.
At first I thought the overripe area was rubbing due to fitment but after about 300 miles the sound of rubbing has gone away. I haven't checked to see if it might have rubbed out but I don't think so. I think it was just a break in period.
Overall I would highly recommend this product if you can endure the wait as from my experience these are built to order.
