Description
Continuing on with our full 3" exhaust system for the 2013-2016 BRZ / 86 / FR-S, we have our mandrel bent, TIG welded, T304 Stainless midpipe. Similar in design to our '08+ STi midpipe with some changes in geometry, this design is well proven and a great way to get the extra horsepower out of your big N/A build or your Forced Induction 86.
Also similar to our STi midpipe designs, the BRZ 3" midpipe features an aft-located 3" inner wound, outer braided, flexible coupler to ensure proper flange angle to allow the axleback portion of the exhaust hang appropriately and allow proper adjustment of the tip position. The midpipe also features a 4" diameter straight through resonator with 3" perforated core to smooth out the exhaust rasp. Replacing the factory single piece midpipe with this two section 3" midpipe also requires an additional flange in the middle of the midpipe - we use our proprietary latch-over v-band clamp and flange design for ease of installation, which also gives you the ability to clock the forward section of the exhaust for optimal clearance.
In turbocharged configurations, this part should bump torque up by roughly 20ft lb depending on turbocharger, and we routinely see increases in the 12whp range over a stock midpipe. The midpipe is equipped with a 3" donut gasket and flared front flange to allow the system to bolt up easily to either a factory downpipe/front pipe or to an upgraded 3" overpipe/downpipe combination.
Fully compatible with factory driveshaft as well as one piece carbon fiber driveshafts. Available with or without a urethane exhaust hanger bushing for the single hanger near the differential.
Recommended Add-Ons:

Upgrading to our long lasting Nameless Performance urethane exhaust bushings from the factory rubber bushings is highly recommended. The softer rubber factory bushings are overly flexible and if you race your car or spend time at an incline off-road, the exhaust can "wag" left to right which sometimes causes noise or the tips to touch the rear bumper. When this happens there is a chance your bumper can be damaged or if you have a hitch or any other accessories can cause annoying sounds. The best way to avoid this is to use our urethane exhaust bushings to hold the exhaust in place. These upgraded bushings are not necessary to install our exhaust systems but for the small cost of upgraded units, it is an excellent idea!
- Add 1 Bushing to your cart: Replace 1 rubber bushings on the midpipe portion of the exhaust.
- Add 2 Bushings to your cart: Replace the two bushings at the rear of the car closest to the bumper. Recommend for those who either drive hard on the street or race occasionally at the track.
- Add 4 Bushings to your cart: Replace all 4 rubber bushings on the axleback portion of the exhaust. Recommended for people drive off-road or who race their cars often.
- Add 5 Bushings to your cart: Replace all 5 of the factory rubber bushings from the midpipe back. Recommended for those who are hard core off-roaders, autocrossers or circuit racers.

This tool makes removing the hanger bushings a breeze. We highly recommend this tool, it turns the removal process from frustrating to satisfying.
