Description

Quicker Throttle Response Without Sacrificing Drivability
The ACT XACT Streetlite Flywheel (600235) is the ideal lightweight upgrade for daily-driven or spirited street Subaru STIs. Weighing in at 15.6 lbs (a significant reduction compared to heavy stock factory units), this flywheel drops rotational mass without going so light that it ruins traffic drivability. By reducing the inertia your EJ engine has to spin against, you unlock noticeably faster revs, crisper rev-matching downshifts, and snappier acceleration out of the corners.

Engineered to Endure: One-Piece Hot-Forged Chromoly
Unlike cheaper multi-piece flywheels that rely on bolt-on friction plates or separate starter rings, ACT XACT flywheels are precision CNC-machined from a single piece of hot-forged chrome-moly steel. This monolithic design guarantees uniform heat transfer away from your clutch disc and eliminates the risk of loose ring gears or warped inserts under extreme track heat. Every flywheel is dynamically computer-balanced for smooth, vibration-free operation up to high-RPM redlines and features an SFI 1.1 safety certification.

  • Noticeably Faster Revs: Reduces rotational mass to unleash instant engine response and crisper heel-toe downshifts.
  • Forged One-Piece Durability: Mono-block chromoly construction provides bulletproof strength with zero risk of component separation.
  • Induction-Hardened Ring Gear: The integral 124-tooth ring gear features lead-in chamfers for seamless starter engagement and maximum gear tooth longevity.
  • Fully Serviceable Design: Unlike factory dual-mass flywheels that must be discarded, the ACT Streetlite can be safely resurfaced during future clutch changes.
  • SFI 1.1 Certified: Meets strict SFI safety regulations for high-performance track and race applications.

The Nameless "Installation" Pro-Tip:

Managing the "Lightweight Gear Rattle": When you reduce the weight of your flywheel, you reduce the drivetrain's ability to absorb natural engine firing pulses. Because of this, it is completely normal to experience a mild "gear rattle" or deceleration buzz transmission noise, particularly at lower RPMs or when idling with the A/C running. This is purely mechanical noise (NVH) and does not harm your transmission. If you are pairing this flywheel with a street-friendly package like the ACT SB10-HDSS, it makes for the ultimate high-response, daily-drivable combo!

Installation Note: Always replace your flywheel bolts when installing a new unit. We highly recommend picking up a fresh set of high-tensile ARP Flywheel Bolt Kit (260-2801) to ensure proper torque retention and safety against the crank.
