1. Protect the High-Gloss Clear Coat: Always install the provided black nylon washers directly beneath the button-head screws before securing the cover to the aluminum brackets. Torque them to hand-tight (3–4 Nm)—over-tightening metal screws straight onto high-gloss clear coats can result in micro-fractures in the finish!

2. Final Wipe & Clearance Check: High-gloss carbon shows fingerprints easily during installation. Once bolted down, wipe the surface with a quick-detail spray and a clean microfiber cloth. If you're running aftermarket intercooler charge pipes or a front-mount intercooler (FMIC), double-check that you have at least 1/4" of clearance around all edges to prevent heat transfers or vibration rubbing against the carbon.
