Description

Transform Your FA24 Engine Bay with Motorsport Aesthetics
When you pop the hood on the 2022+ Subaru WRX, the factory plastic engine cover looks utilitarian and plain—especially once you've upgraded other engine bay performance components. The COBB Redline Matte Carbon Fiber Engine Cover (Part # 446610-RMC) replaces that dull OEM cover with a piece of hand-laid carbon fiber craftsmanship, turning the centerpiece of your engine bay into a true showstopper.

Hand-Laid 2x2 Twill Carbon with Satin Powder-Coated Hardware
Constructed from solid 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber, this engine cover features a durable, high-grade matte clear coat that guards against thermal engine heat and UV breakdown while providing a sleek, non-reflective finish. The cover mounts securely using sturdy, satin black powder-coated aluminum brackets and included black button-head hardware. COBB supplies custom nylon washers to cushion the hardware against the carbon fiber, ensuring a snug fit without cracking or scratching the finish. Complete with a bespoke riveted COBB Redline emblem, it seamlessly ties together the rest of COBB’s matte carbon engine dress-up suite.

  • Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber Construction: Solid 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber designed for strength, light weight, and striking visual depth.
  • Resilient Satin Matte Finish: Durable matte clear coating protects against engine bay heat degradation and UV fading.
  • Powder-Coated Mounting Brackets: Sturdy satin black aluminum brackets ensure a vibration-free, perfectly aligned fit over the intake manifold.
  • Carbon Protection Fasteners: Includes black button-head screws paired with protective COBB nylon washers to safeguard the carbon finish.
  • Coordinates with Redline Suite: Designed to match COBB Redline Matte Carbon Fuse Covers, Fender Shrouds, and Power Scoops.

The Nameless "Installation" Pro-Tips:

1. Always Use the Protective Nylon Washers: When bolting the engine cover onto the aluminum mounting brackets, make sure the provided black COBB nylon washers sit directly between the screw heads and the top surface of the carbon fiber. Snug the button-head screws down to hand-tight (3–4 Nm)—over-tightening metal hardware directly against raw carbon fiber can cause spiderweb cracking in the clear coat!

2. Check Intercooler Piping Clearance: If you are running an aftermarket top-mount intercooler (TMIC) charge pipe or front-mount intercooler (FMIC) setup, loosely mock up the aluminum brackets before final torqueing. Make sure there is at least 1/4" of clearance between the edges of the carbon cover and hot intercooler piping to prevent heat transfer or rub wear.
